AOPA’s annual convention has undergone an exciting transformation to the all-new AOPA Aviation Summit. The Summit will feature new experiences, events, education, and opportunities to touch, test, and interact with the people and technology that’s relevant to the way you fly or to help you realize your dream of learning to fly.

Take Control of Your Future

Meet the aviation, policy, and political leaders who help decide our future. These are the people who influence what general aviation will look like in years to come by developing the technology, steering the policy, setting the regulatory agenda, and manufacturing the products that are critical to GA. Get involved in the debate over the issues that matter most, and share your concerns and get answers.

Daily Summit Sessions

Each morning at 9 a.m., timely issues of today, including the economy, technology, and our freedom to fly, will be covered at our Summit Sessions. They are free and open to the public.

Exhibit Hall and Center Stage

The exhibit hall will be packed with the latest aviation products and will feature a new center stage area where you can hear true pilot stories, get the latest updates on FAA funding, and get up close with aviation leaders.

Airportfest

Join us at Peter O. Knight Airport for Airportfest, our expanded, diversified aircraft display featuring everything from balloons to jets, light sport (including the REMOS GX of course) and vintage aircraft, and helicopters. You will enjoy all-new activities, such as a hands-on experience with radio-controlled aircraft or listening to live music.

Forums

The Summit will offer all of the things you have come to expect from an AOPA convention and more. We’ll have new, interactive formats for many seminars, giving you the opportunity to get answers to your questions from the experts on everything from medical to regulatory issues.

Bring the Whole Family

The Summit offers new events and activities to entertain the entire family and help you get the most from your visit to Tampa. Family friendly event options include dinner at Tampa’s famous aquarium on Friday and the Riverwalk Celebration on Saturday evening. Admission is free for children age 5 and under and reduced for children ages 6 to 14.
