Learn to Fly in a REMOS GX

Learn to Fly in the REMOS GX

In the days of old, you were either in a Piper Cub, or an Aeronca Champ for your initial flight training. Sure there were some other options, but for most it was either Cub or Champ. A lot has changed, and the choice now can be overwhelming. At some point you are going to want to experience a lot of different types of aircraft, but initially it makes sense to conduct your primary training in a single aircraft type, so that you are not continually re-learning the same operations due to differences in controls and layout. If you were to ask what would be the characteristics of the ideal aircraft in which to learn to fly, the truth is, it should have the characteristics of a great recreational aircraft, and a useful utility airplane. It shouldn’t just be a trainer plane, we don’t do that with cars, why should we do it with aircraft?

The desirable characteristics of a great training airplane include:

  • balanced feel at the controls, great control harmony

  • docile and forgiving flight characteristics, including stalls

  • spacious and comfortable cabin, for real-sized people

  • economical and affordable operating costs

  • reliable and safe

The REMOS GX is exemplary in all these areas, and is a proven platform for flight instruction throughout the U.S. and Europe. The REMOS GX is used at REMOS Pilot Centers around the country, as well as the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) pilot training institution.

The GX provides a fun to fly airplane, and will help make you a good “stick and rudder” pilot. It’s modern design and construction, make for a highly reliable, quiet, efficient and comfortable aircraft.
